Sustainable Supply Chain Policy
At MITTA, we strive to understand the issues associated with the supply chains of our business activities in Chile, in accordance with this Policy. We will work with our suppliers and other business partners to make the supply chain sustainable.
Expectations Regarding Business PartnersWe will ask our suppliers and other business partners to understand and apply the following principles, and we will work together to promote the objectives of this Policy throughout the supply chain.
Respect for International StandardsEnsure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in each country, conduct fair transactions in accordance with international rules and practices, and prevent crime and corruption.
- Forced Labor. We do not tolerate forced labor or any other form of modern slavery, such as bonded labor or human trafficking.
- Child Labor. We do not tolerate child labor and comply with the minimum legal working age. We do not employ minors under 18 for positions involving dangerous work.
- Discrimination. We prohibit any form of labor discrimination.
- Harassment and Inhumane Treatment. We do not tolerate any form of harassment, whether physical or mental.
Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining Rights. Respect the right of employees to freely associate and engage in collective bargaining in employer-employee relations.
- Working Hours and Wages. Properly manage working hours, vacation, leave permissions, and employee wages in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Occupational Health and Safety. Ensure the safety and health of employees in the work environment.
- Community impact
Carry out human rights impact assessments, which should cover aspects such as pollution prevention, water scarcity and adverse effects on safety and security. the health of local communities. Adopt the necessary measures in accordance with international standards to avoid risks and mitigate negative impacts.
Environmental Initiatives. Work with our suppliers and other business partners to achieve environmental harmony in our business activities.
- Climate Change. Act to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Water Resources. Work to preserve water resources by reducing water consumption and improving water resource efficiency.
- Community impact

Assess the environmental impact of our business activities and work to preserve biodiversity.
- Pollution Prevention. Take action to reduce hazardous and polluting waste, ensure proper handling of such materials, and strive to avoid air, water, and soil pollution.
- Sustainable Resource Use. Improve resource and energy efficiency and reduce waste.
Product and Service Safety. Ensure the safety of products and services.
Guidance for Correcting Issues. If a business partner’s conduct violates this Policy and negatively impacts the environment or human rights, we will provide guidance to correct the behavior. If the situation does not improve despite continuous guidance, we will take action, including reconsidering the business relationship.
Disclosure of Information. We will disclose information related to the above principles in a timely and appropriate manner.
