Recently, the educational entity recognized the Calama branch for its collaboration in the development of innovation projects, especially in sustainability. MITTA Calama has made its infrastructure and knowledge available to students of the Mechanical Engineering program for their development and learning.
"We are pleased to receive this award from such a prestigious institution with such a wide reach across the country. We are always available to provide students with insight into the needs of the company, so that they can design, as was the case, specific and real solutions," says Jorge Marín, manager of Calama.
The projects in which the students participated, with support from the branch's team, are now in the feasibility analysis stage. They focus on water consumption savings and harnessing energy produced by the facilities, which were inaugurated last year.
